Sylvia's interview about Sophie has been transformed into the amazingly powerful "Black Roses - The Killing of Sophie Lancaster"

Simon Armitage and Sue Roberts worked with Sylvia, Simon then used the transcripts of the interview to create poems giving Sophie a "Voice".

The drama was so well received that the BBC was overwhelmed with people contacting them and they featured an interview with Sylvia on their Feedback programme.

Last night a "listening event " was held in Manchester and invited guests were played part of the play and there was the opportunity to talk to Sylvia, Simon, Sue and the wonderful Rachel Austin who brought "Sophie's Voice" to life.

There was some very poignant questions asked and we thank everyone for their support for the Foundation.

Sylvia is in negotiations with the BBC on how best to use the play to raise further awareness and funds for the charity. She has been advised by them that it is the property of Sylvia and therefore cannot be uploaded to media sites or used in public without her express permission.

If you have downloaded from I-player or were given a copy last night, please do not use it as part of your work or studies. We are sure you understand the need to protect such a personal sensitive piece of work

many thanks
