We are thrilled to announce that we will be working in partnership with Leicester Police, Marshall Amps and Download (Live Nation) at this weekend's Download festival from tomorrow.

S.O.P.H.I.E.'S PARTNERSHIP WITH DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL, MARSHALL AMPS AND LEICESTER POLICE

ampWe are proud to announce that SOPHIE have been working with Download Festival (Live Nation), Marshall and Leicester Police Hate Crime Team to prepare for an exciting time at the DOWNLOAD festival.

For the charity to be working with such high profile partners is testament to all our hard work in the field of Hate Crime on behalf of people from alternative subcultures.

Marshall has created a bespoke SOPHIE guitar cab displaying the logo on a black rose background. It also features black roses as the control knobs.

Marshall is taking this fantastic work of art to The Jim Marshall Stage at Download where they will invite the musicians / singers playing on the stage to sign cab. They have invited The Foundation to join them and hand out leaflets and wristbands. We then hope to auction the cab to raise as much as possible for the charity.

We are delighted that we are there at the invite of Leicester Police Hate Crime Division and will be sharing their Hate Crime stand.

"Leicestershire Police and the local Stamp It Out ! Hate Crime Project are delighted to be joining members of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation at this year's Download Festival to raise people's awareness of Sophie's story and all forms of hate crime.

Hate crimes don't just impact on the victims but their family, their friends and their community. Everyone has the right to live a life free from abuse because of who they are and by working together we can stamp out hate."

Please come along and say hello, we have lots of new merchandise and of course the S.O.P.H.I.E. wristbands.

Sylvia will split her time between the stand and the stage 'Making A Noise' with our partners.

All three organisations have given 100% commitment to the project with Marshall's, Managing Director, Jonathan Ellery saying

"Marshall get requests everyday to support different charity organisations and unfortunately it is not possible to help them all. When I was approached to help the SOPHIE foundation for me it was an easy decision as I fully support what it stands for, we are all different we are all unique we all live together'"

Live Nation, the promoters of Download have welcomed us with open arms as they recognise and respect the work we are doing in the alternative community.

Hannah Farnham their Head Of Events adds

"Download Festival & Live Nation feel very privileged to be working with the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. We see the Foundation, as a key support for many people from all types of backgrounds and communities. It is a pleasure to be working with them"

We are looking forward to raising as much awareness as possible of our work with our partners at the Download Festival and look forward to meeting new and old friends.

See you there !!
