We would like to congratulate James Easton, aged 13, on his well deserved Princess Diana Award for his anti- bullying work. He is a committed ambassador for the S.O.P.H.I.E campaign in his school, St. Monica's in Bury.

Last night he was presented with his award at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester in front of a packed audience. Sylvia was delighted to be invited as a guest of the Easton family to share James' special night.

The Head Teacher of St Monica's, Mr McCarron, talked about James' work in school promoting the aims and objectives of the Foundation and how the assemblies Sylvia has delivered in school have had such a positive impact.

"We provide a caring, supportive environment where everyone is of equal worth"

This is taken from the school's Mission Statement and we are proud that James sees our charity as an important part of that statement.

Mr McCaron also announced that he has a cheque for £1000 from the school following fundraising and sale of S.O.P.H.I.E. wristbands.

This donation will help us to reach more people and further our work to challenge the prejudice based bullying of alternative people.

We are proud of James and his achievements and look forward to working with him as he progresses through school and beyond.
