Festivals are a key part of the Foundation’s year and our attendance at festivals and music events give us the chance to meet the people who support us, who embrace Sophie’s story, and find countless, inventive ways to fundraise for us.
See our Support Us page which highlights recent support. Many of the people we meet have their own experiences of prejudice and share our aim of creating a world where we can be who we are without facing abuse, intolerance, and violence.
Rebellion, Bloodstock and Download and are our main events and we get many friends, old and new, visiting our stall to catch up on our news and purchase merchandise. We were very honoured in 2009 when Bloodstock renamed their second stage, the Sophie Lancaster stage, and we get a very warm welcome when we attend every year.
Music has always been important to the charity and bands from the very beginning, have dedicated songs to Sophie and showcased our work through their support.
