Sylvia, Kate and Sam went along to the amazing King Blues gig at Manchester Academy. It was the third time they had invited us along to speak to their audience about the campaign and work of the Foundation.
Jamie Jazz joined us on stage as we asked their fans who were under 18 to talk to their schools and colleges about our work and ask them to contact us about the Educational Groupworks and those over 18 to talk to their parliamentary candidates about our work and ask them to ensure that the Hate Crime Bill is extended to include "alternative subcultures".
Jamie used their motto "Hope Peace Soul" to endorse what we do and why it is important to them.
We were delighted by the response we received on stage and more importantly afterwards when teachers and students talked to us about going into schools.
It was great to meet old friend and make new ones as people bought our wristbands. We collected £90 so thanks everyone !
The King Blues offered to take our wristbands to sell from their merch stall and spread the word further, in fact Tremayne and Angela sold even more at the Newcastle gig the day after.
We look forward to working with them in the coming year. Thanks to them and Squib their tour manager for their support.
