We have been really busy over the last few weeks and here is an update of some of our work

Sylvia was invited to be a keynote speaker at the launch of Lincolnshire's Hate Crime Strategy at The University of Lincoln on the 1st October, the date was also the day the Equality Act 2010 came into force. Sylvia gave a really powerful presentation ending with the screening of Dark Angel. Sylvia and The Foundation were asked to speak at other events including the Student's Union and Local Authorities.

Back up in the north, Sylvia today addressed the delegates at the StreetPeace event at the stunning Gorton Monastry. The event was opened by Terry Waite and brought together organisations working towards a more peaceful, safer world and the public sector. We would like to thank Julie Hesmondhalgh and Ian Kershaw for taking time to spend the day with us and lend their valuable support.

Thanks also goes to The Skints who shared their night in Manchester with us, inviting Sylvia to speak to their audience and us to sell wristbands. They have taken more to sell during their tour.

Tomorrow we are attending the Valley at Work Exhibition where we hope to meet new contacts and supporters of the work of the Foundation

A massive thank you goes to all the fundraisers, especially Jane and Tremayne for the marathon efforts ! To all of you doing gigs, cake stalls and sponsored events - THANK YOU !!
