Sylvia and the charity were awarded the Community Cohesion Award sponsored by Blackburn & Darwen Council in the Fusion Community Awards 2012.
Sylvia and the Foundation were nominated along with some very worthy projects for this award and she was overwhelmed when her name was announced at the end of a very positive night at Ewood Park in Blackburn on Saturday.
The Fusion Awards celebrate all the important community work that happens in the North West of England. The judges voted for Sylvia and the team's work having assessed how much work we had done in encouraging community cohesion. It was a pleasure to meet so many positive people who work tirelessly to make our world safer, more inclusive and happier !
We are very proud to have this award in recognition of our work in Sophie's memory and it is another important part of her legacy.
