The Sophie Lancaster Foundation Training

The foundation offers training to professionals in education, youth work, the police and prison service. We deliver bespoke training to meet the needs of the companies including hate crime awareness, victim impact, equality and diversity and inclusion.

We have delivered training to:

teacher training

  • Young People’s Service staff in Wales, Hull and Guernsey.
  • The police in Greater Manchester, Warwickshire, Nottingham, Leicestershire, West Mercia, Derby, Nottingham, West Yorkshire and Surrey.
  • We have delivered Equality & Diversity and Hate Crime Awareness training to college and school staff members in Bury, Boston and Bradford and prisons/YOIs.
  • The Holocaust Memorial Centre’s ”No To Hate” days in Newark as well as at the National Media Museum and British Library.
  • Staff and inmates in several prisons (male and female) and Young Offenders Institutes throughout the UK.

The training ranges from Sylvia Lancaster OBE giving a personal and profound presentation about the murder of Sophie, the investigation and trial of her murderers. We have the multi award winning film “Black Roses – The Killing of Sophie Lancaster” which is a powerful tool
